  • Our son’s self confidence is up!

He now likes school. His study skills are much improved and his field of experience has increased. We know that he will get an associate’s degree and probably will obtain a bachelor’s or beyond. He is happier and fits in well with his peers. We have seen many positive changes in the last several years.

  • I was thrilled with the results!

"Our daughter’s math grades and GPA have been consistently higher since we gave her the extra boost from the Academy, and she's not afraid to ask for help when needed. Most importantly though - she BELIEVES in herself."

Since its doors opened in 2005, Brock’s Academy has worked with students and their families to define learning goals and uncover learning passions.   We provide the most flexible alternative educational services available by tailoring curriculum, instructional methods, class schedules, and even teaching locations to ensure students receive the best educational outcome.

We specialize in teaching students challenged by learning issues including autism disorders, dyslexia, dysgraphia, anxiety and depression disorders, and twice-gifted students.

In November 2016, Brock’s Academy became one of only 24 OSPI accredited schools to be designated a Non-Public Agency enabling public school districts in Washington State to contract us to provide education and related services for students whose special education needs cannot be met by their district.  Since then, Brock’s Academy has worked with many school districts to create successful learning environments for students who might otherwise struggle.  What makes us different from other NPA designated schools is that, just as with our tutoring services, we have the flexibility to teach students in their home, at their school or on our site in Woodinville.   There is no other school like ours!

Brock’s Academy was founded in 2004 by Dan Loshbaugh, Dr. Melodee Loshbaugh and their son, Gabe.  Dr. Mel has been an educator for over thirty five years at the elementary, secondary and college levels.  She believes a traditional classroom works for many, but not every student.  She founded Brock’s Academy to give students and their families a creative alternative.  The school name honors the memory of Dan and Dr. Mel’s son, Brock Loshbaugh, keeping his unique passion for learning alive.
