Summer School Could Bolster Your Child’s Confidence

At Brock’s Academy our mission is to keep the spirit for learning alive in every child.  Parents have used our summer school to rebuild their child’s natural love of learning after a long, sometimes unhappy school year.

We employ a Designer Education method, allowing the student to help design their own summer curriculum.   We do this while meeting the typical academic goals students bring to our summer sessions:

• Address a skill gap in reading, writing, or math
• Retain skills learned over the school year
• Transition from elementary to junior high
• Transition from junior high to high school
• Language immersion/study abroad
• SAT/ACT test preparation
• Re-take high school classes for credit
• Take high school classes to get ahead

Brock’s Academy is an accredited private school, NCAA approved and our transcripts are accepted by high schools and colleges nationwide.  We are fully staffed during the summer and offer over 80 credit classes.

Our Summer Services

Summer Skill Building: K-12(AP/IB) 

• Summer Reading Clinic  – for students struggling with reading or older readers who want to become faster and more efficient in their advanced schooling years
• Summer Writing Lab – for students who want to develop stronger essay and paper writing skills
• Skill Gap Math Lab – for students needing to fill a skill gap in their basic understanding of math, or prepare for an advanced class
• Advanced Summer Math Lab – for students that want a deep exploration of math – can also be done for high school credit
• Executive Functioning Skills –  for students that need study skills, test taking and organizational strategies – taught either alone or in combination with another skill lab.

Credit Classes: Junior High – High School

• Summer Credit Retrieval– for students that need to retake a class to improve their grade and overall GPA – we work with most local school districts to arrange credit
• Accelerated Learning – for students that want to get ahead on the school year – we offer 80+ accredited credit classes to boost your child’s transcript.

Test Prep and Readiness Programs

• SAT/ACT Prep –  one-on-one test coaching including helping your child evaluate if the SAT or ACT would be their better test option
• Junior High or High School Readiness Class – for students that will transition to junior high or high school in the fall.  Not a credit class, but a tutoring package that combines organizational skills and core academic skill building.

In addition to above, we design custom summer programs for students travelling abroad, students with summer athletic tournament schedules, students with anxiety, and reluctant learners of all ages that did not enjoy their school year.
