How Your Child Can Improve Their GPA This Summer

Your high school student has several opportunities to improve their GPA over the summer.

Brock’s Academy is a fully accredited private school offering a complete summer session.   Our transcripts are accepted by high schools and colleges nationwide and our summer school students have access to over eighty credit courses.

Below are ways your child can use Brock’s Summer School to improve their GPA.

• GPA Acceleration – Your child can take one difficult course over the summer so he or she can focus on the challenging content.   Your child gets the time he or she needs to master the content, earn a high grade, and enter the fall school year ahead of schedule.
• Re-Take a Course to Improve a Grade – Your child can re-take a course to improve their grade and depending upon the course and the school, a higher re-take grade will either average an existing grade or replace the lower grade on a transcript
• Recover Graduation Credits for Failed Classes – If your child fails a class required for graduation, he or she can re-take the course to earn the graduation credits.  We work with public and private schools to coordinate course re-takes over the summer so your child begins the fall school year back on track to graduate.
• Explore Areas of Interest without Using Fall Electives – With a full course catalog available, your child can use the summer to explore academic interests and build a more diverse transcript without using the few electives they have during the regular school year.
• Academic Skill Building – Your child can use Brock’s one-to-one summer tutoring services to bolster core academic skills so they enter the fall school year, either high school or college, with the strong foundation they need to succeed.
• ACT/SAT Test Preparation – Unlike generic test prep programs, Brock’s provides one-to-one test preparation so your child focuses on areas of need and doesn’t waste time and money on areas of strength.

In addition to being fully staffed for summer, Brock’s offers your child the opportunity to learn within our unique one-to-one instructional model.  All sessions are just your child working with their teacher making our courses much more efficient and effective than the traditional classroom setting.

Scheduling is flexible so your child can schedule their class around vacations, jobs, and other summer activities.  Instruction can be provided at our Woodinville campus, at an agreed upon public location, or in the convenience of your home; and all summer learning is tailored to your child’s learning style and academic goals.

In addition to general education, we have instructors trained to support special education students, reluctant learners, and gifted and talented students.
